The Ocean City Arts Center (OCAC), an independent non-profit organization, was established in 1966 and incorporated in 1967. In 1990, the Arts Center, the Free Public Library, Historical Museum and Aquatic and Fitness Center moved into the Ocean City Community Cultural Center. OCAC is fortunate to be located in this beautiful municipal building, however, OCAC is not a municipal facility and its staff are not city employees. We are responsible for our own funding through grants, fundraisers, tuition, gallery sales and donations.

OCAC believes that an appreciation of mankind=s diversity can be learned through the arts. OCAC=s monthly gallery exhibits provide an opportunity for that concept to become tangible. Each month we present a new exhibit featuring regional and national artists of various mediums. Each exhibit opens with a AMeet the Artist@ reception that adds a personal dimension to the experience. OCAC provides exposure to major metropolitan galleries through affordable museum bus trips to Philadelphia, New York City, Baltimore and Washington, D.C. four to five times per year. These fun and educational trips have earned a faithful following and always sell out.
