For those who appreciate a quiet encounter with nature, kayak or Sunfish sailboat rentals are available.  Skim over the waters of the Great Egg Harbor Bay with only the sound of waves against the hull and the cries of gulls for company to experience deep relaxation and serenity.  Or train your binoculars on the numerous docks, birds and waterfowl that inhabit the pristine back bay ecosystem.  During the spring and fall migrations, thousands of bird species, as well as seemingly fragile Monarch Butterflies, thrill nature enthusiasts as they wing their way over the island.
